A MOVEMENT in FITNESS

At The Movement, our classes are not classified on intensity or ability levels, we believe that everyone can move together in their own way. Instead, our Movement Motivators structure fresh classes weekly around their own unique style and The Movement Brand of Holisitic Fitness practices.

CYCLE

Our unique, rhythm based cycling format is unlike any other out there. Our amazing instructors will lead you through an interval based ride incorporating speed, strength and choreography all while inviting in a mindset shift with our signature blend of music, movement and motivation. Cycling shoes ARE NOT required for our Schwinn AC Performance Carbon Blue bikes and we DO NOT rent cycling shoes at The Movement.

YOGA

Yoga at The Movement is unique in its inclusive nature and the incorporation of meditation and mind body connection techniques. We offer various formats from restorative and relaxing to more challenging and strengthening. We provide all the props and have yoga mats ready for you or welcome you to bring your own.

DANCE FITNESS

At The Movement we believe in the power of expression through dance. Our dance fitness classes are for everyone, no dance experience is necessary. We’ll breakdown counts and choreography so that you’ll feel empowered, confident and sweaty. You’ll want sturdy shoes to dance in, we’ll provide everything else to get you moving on the dance floor.

MAT PILATES

We love Mat Pilates for its no impact strengthening and flexibility benefits. Using props like balls, bands and blocks, our instructors will lead you through a series of Pilates-based exercises designed to bring help with over all mobility and improve total body strength. All props and mats are provided but we always welcome you to bring your own mat.

BARRE

A FAVORITE of The Movement founder Ali, our unique barre method combines ballet and Pilates technique into a one of a kind total body strength and flexibility class. Done primarily using a wall-mounted ballet Barre as a tool for refining balance and mobility in a challenging but fun and effective class. We recommend grip socks or bare feet for Barre class and provide all the other equipment and props needed.

BODY BANDS

Our NO IMPACT solution to strength training using a variety of resistance bands, very light weights and body weight based exercises only. Our instructors have developed a safe and ultra effective program that they keep fresh every week with new ways to build strength and improve mobility without high stress on joints. We provide all the equipment needed for class.

SOUND BATH

The Movement is PROUD to be one of the only comprehensive fitness studios to offer a Sound Bath on our regular schedule. Experience the healing and grounding power of sound with our incredible Soundbath experience. Simply put, our experienced sound bath practioner will take you on a journey with sound waves created by singing bowls, chimes and other instruments while you relax and allow your senses relief from the stress of the outside world. We recommend you wear comfortable lounge wear. Mats, bolster and blankets are provided and we also welcome you to bring anything that will help you lay or sit comfortably.
